Amber V. Dillard

Amber V. Dillard is a senior communications specialist at AIR. With more than 15 years of experience in strategic communications and health promotion, Dillard brings expertise in applying communications theories and practices to achieve the goals and objectives of federal clients. She has extensive experience in the strategy, design, dissemination, evaluation, and optimization of cross-channel communications, including website, email, social, video, audio, SMS, paid, and print media.

An accomplished project manager and task lead, Dillard manages multi-year federal contracts, supervising and mentoring staff, tracking annual budgets, facilitating relationships with clients, and overseeing project, vendor, and subcontractor teams. For the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) Youth Empowerment Project, Dillard serves as project director and communications subject matter expert. For the Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs, Dillard serves as deputy director and task leads for website content and marketing, managing the federal youth.gov website and communications. For the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments and the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center, Dillard recently served as task leads for communications and dissemination, respectively.

Prior to joining AIR, Dillard served as interactive marketing account strategist at a private-sector higher education enrollment marketing agency, where she developed cross-channel client strategy, implementation, measurement, and optimization plans. Dillard also served as information services specialist for the U.S. Department of Education’s Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention, where she managed the Center’s digital outreach strategy and wrote, edited, and maintained content for the website.
