Chinmaya Holla

Researcher

Chinmaya Holla is a researcher, specializing in gender and social norms, women’s economic empowerment, education programming in humanitarian settings, and foundational learning. He supports quantitative research design, data collection and analysis for numerous projects and contributes to impact evaluations, evidence syntheses, and cost analyses. He has previously worked on projects related to education of forcibly displaced students in Jordan, Kenya, Sudan, and Rwanda. His work spans foundational learning projects in India, Sri Lanka, Senegal, DRC, and Liberia, women’s groups and gender norms projects in India, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Uganda, and agriculture projects in India. His specialty is applying econometric methods to estimate the impact of development programs.

Previously, Holla has worked as a Mathematics and Science teacher at a public school in a low-income setting in India. He has presented his work at international conferences and authored peer-reviewed articles.
