Senior Project Specialist

Susan Brown is a senior project specialist at AIR. In her work, she helps both workers and employers address skill gaps by applying her expertise in digital learning strategies, project management, adult learning, and instructional design. With a 20+ year career dedicated to improving individual, team, and organizational performance, she is proficient in leading and designing initiatives that elevate competency and skills among internal and external teams.

At AIR, Susan has been pivotal in defining learning techniques and overseeing content development to guide organizations as they engage in digital transformations.  She excels at managing projects focused on behavioral change, applied on-the-job learning, and timely and efficient implementation strategy. Her role involves not just the creation of engaging training programs but also ensuring their alignment with organizational goals that result in the desired impact and outcomes.

At Maher & Maher/IMPAQ International, a change management and learning firm acquired by AIR, Susan served as a project director and senior instructional designer. She managed end-to-end learning and development projects for various private and public-sector clients. Her responsibilities encompassed everything from project scoping to risk management, with a strong focus on eLearning and blended learning solutions.

Prior to this, Susan served as a program manager and manager of multimedia training at USP (US Pharmacopeia) where her tenure was marked by significant achievements. Notably, she led the multimedia training team to record-breaking growth through online course production. Her strategic management of course development and implementation of the Cornerstone OnDemand Learning Management System were crucial in expanding USP’s educational reach.

Susan has extensive international experience, leading clinical trials software training sessions in Bangkok, Thailand and managing the delivery of pharmacovigilance training in Shanghai, China. Her audiences included principal investigators, research clinicians, pharmacists, and regulatory staff, showcasing her ability to engage and educate diverse international professionals. 

Her commitment to integrating technology into education and training and assisting organizations in digital transformations are an invaluable asset. Her career is distinguished by her innovative approach to learning and development, her expertise in project management, and her impactful contributions to international training programs.
