Thriving- and equity-related goals offer hope for improving the world, yet they remain challenging to achieve. Previous attempts to reach these goals have often been hindered by overly restrictive objectives and standards. This paper proposes a fresh approach to achieving goals related to thriving and equity that include embracing new ideas for research and practical applications.

By synthesizing scholarly insights from diverse fields and incorporating perspectives from indigenous scholars, as well as community-responsive researchers and practitioners, the authors aim to shed light on the essential principles behind thriving and equity. Through this analysis, AIR experts seek to understand the factors and circumstances that either foster or hinder progress toward these vital societal ideals.
